It isn't a test — you can't pass or fail it, and there are no good or bad styles. Answer honestly rather than aspirationally; the result is only useful if it's you.
Why this matters
There is no one type of person who makes a great coach.
Most people picture the same coach — loud, confident, on a stage — and assume that's the job. It isn't. Four very different styles make outstanding coaches, and the quiet, thoughtful ones are often the strongest in the room. This profile shows you which one is yours.

What you just did
That was DISC — and it's one of the tools we accredit coaches in.
The four styles
DISC is a simple, practical and widely used model of observable behaviour. The four styles describe where each of us naturally puts our energy:
- D — Dominance How you address problems and challenges
- I — Influence How you handle people and contacts
- S — Steadiness How you approach pace and consistency
- C — Conscientiousness How you respond to procedure and detail
It's used in coaching, leadership and team development worldwide, and it's one of the profiling tools inside our advanced training — coaches use it to read a client's style in the first session rather than the fifth.
Three things worth knowing about your result
It isn't a test. There's nothing to pass, and no style is better than another. Every style has real strengths and areas worth developing — which is why all four make excellent coaches.
It measures behaviour, not ability. DISC says nothing about your intelligence, skills, education, experience or values. It describes how you tend to behave, not how good you'd be.
You're a blend. You have some of all four styles in you. Your dominant style is the loudest, not the only one.
What the full assessment adds
This profile is our own short, indicative version, built on the DISC model to give you a fast and useful read. It isn't the full accredited DISC assessment, and it measures one thing: your natural style.
The professional assessment our coaches are accredited in goes considerably further — it measures your natural style alongside your adapted style, which is how you behave in a particular environment. The gap between those two is where the real insight sits, because a large gap is usually costing someone a lot of energy. It also maps twelve behavioural tendencies, how you show up under stress, and how to adapt to each of the other styles.
Learning to run that assessment for clients is part of our advanced training. It's one of the most practical tools a working coach can hold.
A profile like this can tell you how you're wired. What it deliberately can't tell you is whether coaching is the right career for you, or which pathway suits the life you're actually trying to build. That part needs a conversation.
You've unlocked this
Come and get coached through it.
You've told us you're serious about this, so we'd like to offer you a complimentary 30-minute CoachStyle Session with Anthony — a qualified coach who has completed our full Master Practitioner program. This isn't a sales call. He'll coach you, using your profile as the starting point, on what you're actually trying to build.
We keep these for people who are actually weighing the decision, because Anthony's diary is finite. If that's you, take the slot.
30 minutes, by phone or Zoom. No cost.
Your natural next step
Come and try coaching for yourself at CoachStart™.
A free three-hour live online workshop, run on the second weekend of every month. You won't sit and watch two other people demonstrate — you'll be taken through a real coaching session yourself, as the client, on something genuinely live for you. That is the fastest way to find out whether this work is for you.
You'll also see why we teach four modalities rather than one, and spend the last stretch on who you'd love to help, what you'd offer them, and the five different ways coaches actually make a living — including the ones that aren't hours for dollars.
No cost and no obligation. Plenty of people come along, enjoy it, and decide coaching isn't their thing. That's a useful answer too.
Three hours, live online, second weekend monthly.
That's everything — enjoy your profile.
You said you'd rather not get a phone call, so you won't get one from us. Your full profile is on its way to your inbox, and it's yours to keep whether you ever train as a coach or not.
If you change your mind down the track, everything you need is on our site — and there's no rush.
