About the Course

Across two days of face-to-face training on the 3 & 4 of July at The Life Coaching College, this Mental Health First Aid Course for Coaches will teach you how to recognise the signs and symptoms of different mental illnesses and mental health crises.

You'll learn how to offer initial help and how-to guide clients towards appropriate treatments and other supportive support through the use of a
practical-evidence based action plan.

It has been explicitly tailored to meet the needs and experiences of coaches working with clients but does not encourage or teach coaches to provide a diagnose or to give therapy.

In addition to receiving a Mental Health First Aid Manual, you will also have the opportunity to complete an online Accreditation Assessment in order to become an accredited Mental Health First Aider for three years.

Why You Should Attend

With one in five Australians aged 16-85 years experiencing a mental illness in any year, it is essential as a coach to have the confidence to recognise a mental health issue within a coaching setting and know how to refer to relevant professionals.

By becoming an accredited Mental Health First Aider, you can make a real difference to your community by helping to decrease stigmatising attitudes around mental health and increasing the amount and type of support provided to others.
