What is NLP and how does it relate to coaching?
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is the study of how people think, communicate and create results. It gives coaches a powerful toolkit for understanding human behaviour and creating lasting change. At TLCC, NLP is a core component of our Diploma and Master Practitioner programs.
Do I need prior experience to learn NLP?
No prior experience is needed. Our NLP training is designed for complete beginners through to experienced professionals. Whether you're looking to become a professional coach, improve your leadership skills, or simply understand people better — the training meets you where you are.
Is NLP scientifically proven?
NLP draws heavily on cognitive psychology, behavioural science and linguistics. It is a practical model rather than an academic discipline, and we are careful never to make unsupported medical claims. What we teach are evidence-informed techniques for communication, motivation and behavioural change — and you will experience them working firsthand during training.
Which course includes NLP Practitioner certification?
Our Diploma of Life Coaching (ICF Level 2) includes full NLP Practitioner certification as part of the curriculum. The Master Practitioner of Coaching takes you further with NLP Master Practitioner certification. Both are delivered face-to-face across Australia.
How long does it take to become an NLP Practitioner?
NLP Practitioner certification is a 7-day immersive, face-to-face training. It's one module within our Diploma program. Most students complete the full Diploma (which includes NLP Practitioner) in 6–9 months, with flexible scheduling to fit around work and life.
Is the training face-to-face or online?
Our NLP training is delivered face-to-face in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. We believe live, in-person practice is essential for developing real coaching skills. Some theory components are available online, but the core NLP techniques are taught in the room.
What can I do with an NLP qualification?
NLP skills are used across coaching, therapy, leadership, sales, education, healthcare and personal development. Our graduates become professional coaches, improve their current careers, build coaching businesses, or simply transform their personal relationships and communication.
